If expanding the system to control more than a single appliance or light, we recommend purchasing one more Access Point to ensure reliable communication.

Note:
If you are using LED lights that are very low wattage, you may notice that the LED's do not turn out completely when plugged into an ApplianceLinc. In this case, you’ll need to add to the load with more LED's or higher wattage bulbs - generally higher than a 5 watt load.

Easy Setup:
The Remote Control Appliance Kit can be set up in less than five minutes to control any connected device remotely using a simple "Plug and Tap" setup process. To control "linked" devices, you can tap one of the RemoteLinc's buttons on or off. Each of the six ON/OFF buttons on the RemoteLinc can be set up to control individual or groups of lights and appliances.

INSTEON RemoteLinc Wireless Remote Control:
RemoteLinc is the first wireless remote to send INSTEON commands to your lighting and appliances to control them remotely, turning any INSTEON-compatible device in your home on and off at the press of a button. You can even create multiple lighting scenes and dim lights to romantic levels with this handy wireless remote that fits in your hand. Use any of the six buttons to control up to 417 INSTEON devices as well as ALL ON & OFF and DIM/BRIGHT. The RemoteLinc includes a customizable label with a clear mylar protector to keep it clean. INSTEON Access Points (& Wireless Phase Couplers) are required for use of the RemoteLinc; one is included in this kit. Note: The INSTEON RemoteLinc is not X10 compatible.

INSTEON ApplianceLinc (3-Pin) — Our Most Advanced Remote-Controllable Plug-In On/Off Switch:
The INSTEON ApplianceLinc (3-Pin) is a full-featured plug-in on/off switch that can be remotely controlled by a INSTEON ControLinc Tabletop Controller, INSTEON KeypadLinc Dimmer, or any other INSTEON-compatible controller. This simple-to-use plug-in on/off switch has advanced features like local control, so you can still use the appliance's built-in switch to turn device on and off. The ApplianceLinc is made to plug into a 3-pin outlet. This on/off module controls all standard appliances like fans, fluorescent lights, and many other non-dimmable devices up to 15 amps and incandescent lights up to 480 watts. If you need to control a dimmable lamp, try the INSTEON LampLinc Dimmer (2-Pin), or the grounded INSTEON LampLinc Dimmer (3-Pin), which allow on/off and brightness control.

INSTEON Access Point (& Wireless Phase Coupler):
INSTEON is a powerful, home-control networking technology that will enhance the comfort, safety, convenience and value of your home. The Access Point is the most important part of the INSTEON network. Access Points allow RF-only INSTEON devices (like a RemoteLinc) to send commands to power line-only INSTEON devices (like a ApplianceLinc). If you need more coverage for your INSTEON RF devices, you only need to add another Access Point. Also, when used in pairs, Access Points can couple the phases in your electrical wiring allowing commands to freely travel to all locations in your home.
