One way to combat skyrocketing utility bills is to use the RemoteLinc - INSTEON Lamp and Appliance Control Kit, a solution that makes controlling the use of appliances, traditional incandescent light bulbs and new energy efficient light bulbs a breeze. By using the included ApplianceLinc On/Off modules along with energy efficient CFL light bulbs and/or LED light bulbs installed in your lamps, you can start saving on your electricity costs immediately. The ApplianceLinc modules will also work on all standard appliances and many other non-dimmable devices up to 15 amps. You can control lamps using incandescent bulbs with the included Dual-Band LampLinc Dimmers, which have advanced features like an adjustable ramp rate that slowly brings the lamp on, a preset dim level that stores your preferred choice of 32 brightness levels when turning the lamp on initially, as well as local control, so you can still use the lamp's built-in switch to turn the light on and off. The LampLincs also double as a pair of Access Points - relaying RF and powerline signals to other INSTEON-compatible devices in the home.
